Crepes

Crepes are possibly my favorite thing ever. They’re super easy and you can put basically anything you want in them. My two favorites are ham and cheese to start followed by the dessert crepe filled with Nutella, strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream. They’re super delicious and easy to make. I had just Googled a crepe recipe and ended up just changing this one a bit

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup sugar (I added this based on some comments on the recipe, so you can leave it out if you want)

I just mix together in a medium sized bowl in the order listed. If I think about it ahead of time I’ll cover the batter and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour, this seems to make the consistency a bit better, otherwise just add some extra flour or water until it’s the thickness you want; the batter should be thin but not too watery.

To make the crepes just spray a medium sized frying pan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Pour some of the batter into the middle of the pan and swirl around until the whole pan is covered. Wait till the edges start to look done, flip the crepe, let cook then remove from heat. Since you have to make them one at a time it can take a while but totally worth it, usually makes between 6-8 crepes. After this just fill with whatever you want and either roll up or fold over (I personally prefer folding).

The finished product

(the pictures aren’t the best, sorry but all I could focus on at the time was eating!)

Ham and cheese; looks plain and is simple, but soo yummy

Strawberry/banana/Nutella; my FAVORITE
